It's been two weeks since we came back from Moscow, and still it is very difficult to find the words to describe the experience.
Indeed, one of the deepest and most intense experiences for our group in its 13-year-existence.
The place was just beautiful, evocative, and perfectly set up, and so was the tournament; from the very moment we stepped in the park, we actually felt in the Middle Age. The tournament was exciting, fun, beautiful to watch and emotionally involving: everybody had a role, and perfectly fitted it. It was great.
And it is even harder to describe the warmth of the people who hosted us, or the spectators of the tournament: kind, passionate, respectful, lively, welcoming, friendly, you all filled our hearts and minds with intense emotions, and a strong will to do our very best, to reward you with what we could offer.

Your company did a terrific job for a first edition, so many things were proposed, that even me I didn’t have time to see ½ of them!
In view of the size of the festival you did manage to organize things very professionaly.
All the persons from your organization we meet showed lots of care and attention for us. This is really important and we were affected by their care and kindness. Not only on a human point of view of course but when you are far from your home in a country you cannot even read the signs it is an important thing. Because of that we felt reassured and secure.

I just got back from Moscow at the Times and Epochs festival where we jousted solid lances with steel coronels, amongst other disciplines. It was an adventure i will never forget.
I made many new firm friends and was impressed and insprired by the bravery and passion of these people and how hard they worked to achieve this. The hospitality was amasing, the groundcrew fantastic, the judging of the marshals very good, fair and prudent and the inclusion of a ladies court was very good and extremely well executed by some very fair ladies indeed.
The organisation did marvellous work to battle through a forest of red tape to get us there and arrange many other things. The festival was generally very impressive in terms of authenticity and size, in a beatifull location.
Also what stands out was the crowd. I have never seen a crowd like it. They were loud, passionate and many, but also turned out to have read much about the event beforehand and had even prepared sentences in dutch and german to greet me after the joust, embroidered scarfs and hand drawings as gifts... it was amasing.
In particular i need to thank Dmitry Savchenko and Daria Isaeva for their planning of the event. The vision of Dmitry was carried through with real passion and a very limited budget. What they achieved was amasing and due to much blood, sweat and tears from their side.

This was the first time our group had worked with Times and Epochs. From the beginning, we were impressed with the level of communication from Aleksey and Daria, who worked hard to help us with visas and were always happy to answer our many questions, even late at night.
Comfortable hotel accommodation was provided in the beautiful park in which the event was held and 15 minutes’ walk from the metro station. All the Times and Epochs staff we met were most helpful, hospitable and friendly, with very good English.
The event itself was the biggest, most impressive and best-organised our group has ever attended. The battles were spectacular; the purpose-built villages, houses and workshops were like nothing we had ever seen in western Europe; the enormous number of re-enactors was astonishing; the trade stalls were varied and full of interesting goods for re-enactors and visitors alike.
All the living history encampments were supplied with water and lunch was provided for us, which was much appreciated.
Visitor numbers were much more than we were used to. They were all friendly and very interested in what we were doing, where we had come from and what we thought of Moscow. We thought it was wonderful and look forward to going back soon!

A quick note to thank you very much for your patience and the tremendous work you have done with all your group. It was a pleasure to come and to take part in «Times & Epochs» festival. I was speaking so good about reenactment events in Russia for a so long time to my French friends, now they know I am not a lier, thanks to you.

Back from the solid lance joust at the Times and Epochs event in Moscow, Russia. A big thanks to the organisers who worked extremely hard in making it possible for us to go, with all the paperwork for getting visa's and the armour in through customs.
The event was huge with a level of quality of re-enactors and organisation that make this amongst the best in the world I have been to. A thanks to everyone there for the hospitality, they all made us feel very welcome. A thanks to Jousters who did a great job on their first solid lance and steel coronel tournament, well done,and I hope you organise lots more of them in the future :) A thanks to all the groundcrew who came along and helped out and the Ladies who graced the tournament with their presence and provided a wonderfull feast on the Saturday evening.
